Dodge Renaissance Academy has been fortunate to have a Girl’s and Boy’s Tennis team. The students are taught the basic fundamentals of the game and compete against other CPS schools. From 2005-2008 Marcus Holmes was the number 1 elementary school player in the city of Chicago. Our teams consist of students in grades 5/6 and 7/8. The boy’s team has previously placed second and third in CPS tennis matches, and our girl’s teams has placed first and third in the Chicago Public School competition. The coaches are Constance Turner Burkes, Gregory E. Burkes, and Maurice Wiley.
